A Bad End to a Good Day (Leviticus 10:1-20)

Old Testament Israel’s priests occupied the most important position in the nation—they represented the people to God! It was incumbent upon them to also represent God’s holiness to the people. Christ’s work in saving us abolished the Old Testament priesthood and made priests of us who trust in His saving work. We are now priests and we have that same responsibilities representing God’s holiness to the world. So, what’s God’s feelings when we deliberately fail in that mission? Today we’ll see.
